Michelle Shiling: Birthday 2012

Since it's already my 22nd, and that i cant accept that "you will age faster after you turn 21" thingy, I couldn't be bothered to have any lavish celebration this year.
Hence, the sweetest boy on earth volunteered to help me with it and that I do not have to worry a single thing at all.

I told the boy I wanted a simple "get-together session" with everybody as much as possible so that I can save the hassle of celebrating my birthday more than once. Though I know it's kinda difficult esp when I have different groups of friends, but I was really ain't in the mood for any detailed planning and felt that it isn't a bad idea to introduce the family, favourite people and also the awesome ladies in class to one another.

11/02/12 : Surprise One.

Since the boy had to collect his Urbanthalon Race Pack , he told me he had planned a dinner at chinatown (nearby) with my classmates and another dinner with the family and fav people on the actual day of my birthday. Though it wasn't really what i wanted, but still, i appreciated his effort for organizing.

After lunch, received a disappointing text from one of the girls saying that she couldn't make it due to some personal reason and that the dinner had to be postponed :(
So the boy suggested that we shld have an impromptu one night stay at a hotel for massage/spa etc to kill time before we head out for dinner.

We found ourselves at HotelRe, a boutique hotel which was located nearby.
Tried our luck and they had available rooms!

I was kinda reluctant initially because I wasn't prepared for a stay-over. I do not have any extra clothes nor toiletries and the most important make-up remover with me.
But the boy insisted and said we could buy them when we head out in the evening.

When it was 5pmish, the boy said he need to get downstairs to his car to get his iphone charger and told me to wait for him in the room.

Hence, i showered and cam-whored.

30 mins passed but the boy wasn't back yet and he said he bumped into his old-time friend at the lobby and they were chit-chatting.

okay, i admit i was a little pissed off. Who on earth wouldnt? I was left all alone in the room for 30mins doing nothing feeling hungry what.!

And when it was 6pm, the boy was back with a big box of beautiful mini cupcakes and a big present. But i thought it was too much for just the both of us to consumed.

He also prepared his bagpack filled with all my essential toiletries and comfortable pj for the night! Only then I knew, the stay-over was pre-planned. haha!

By then, all the "unexpected" guests have already arrived but were waiting outside the room, waiting for a good opportunity to surprise me.

And just so coincidentally, I need to use the bathroom and the boy led the guests in.

When i was out from the bathroom, everyone shouted "HappyBirthday Michelle!" Omg ! I was really surprised and touched that I cried.! I saw my family, fav people and the awesome ladies sitted around the room.

The boy prepared a video which he played before the cake-cutting session.

I cried while watching the video and each time I watch it, i'll smile unknowingly.

Surprise 2! 14/02/12

On the actual day of my birthday, which was also Vday, the boy said that since I had already celebrated my birthday, it was going to be simple "we" time doing our own thing.
